Requirements

Installation and commission of 17 fridge units and 8 freezer units. Gorillas is an up-and-coming dark supermarket who are experiencing a spurt of growth throughout the UK and especially London. Gorillas have given themselves a very quick turn around period of 7 days to turn an empty warehouse into a fully functioning warehouse. Therefore, Noreaster are only assigned a day to unpackage, de-pallet and position the 25 units in the correct position in the warehouse. This is all while working simultaneously with the other trades men installing shelving, cameras and fire safety.

Solution

Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd liaise with Gorillas beforehand to map out a effective and efficient floor plan which could be achieved in an order which would work around the other tradesmen and mean all work could commence simultaneously.
It was imperative to bring a team of 3 engineers who could operate doing different tasks in rotation to assure that all refrigeration units would be ready for the stock to arrive the following morning.

With all three engineers operating under a strict timeline they worked effectively to commission all refrigeration units. After the units where positioned, taken off the pallet and stripped of any packaging the focus was to assemble all shelving following strict guidelines to assure maximum capacity within the fridge units with the right products in each fridge.
