Herts Independent Living

Case Study

Requirements

Herts independent living provide a range of services to help older and vulnerable people stay happy, healthy, and independent. Herts independent have moved one of their units in ware to a new warehouse in Hertfordshire. Herts independent approached Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd about the possibility of collapsing the cold room in the ware warehouse and moving it to the new site. This is top priority for Herts independent living as it is imperative their kitchen is in full operation to provide food for the vulnerable especially over the winter period. After liaising with Herts Independent on inspection it became evident it would be too dangerous and unrealistic to take down this 30-year-old cold room and reassemble it.

Solution

Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd had decided the only call to action there is was to install a brand new cold room in the new warehouse.

It was imperative that from the day of receiving the keys that Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd had 5 days to install the cold room so that it did not disrupt the service operations of Herts independent, and they could continue to provide food to the vulnerable.

Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd tactically devised days to different tasks, therefore days 1-2 were dedicated to the building and construction of the room itself. Days 3-4 were allocated to piping the refrigeration units and hanging them within the cold room and outside. And finally, day 5 was allocated to all electrics and the commissioning of the walk in freezer.

Conclusion

Herts independent chose to work with Noreaster Refrigeration Ltd due to their attention to detail and cutting-edge time management.

The efficient timing meant Herts living could operate at maximum efficiency during the Christmas period where it was crucial to provide the vulnerable with their services and meals. They are extremely happy with the outcome and how amazing it looked.
