Requirements
Due to the hot ambient the integrated cold room in the back of subway prep area would not reach temperature. the summer heat and lack of ventilation has been causing huge issues. Therefore, Subway had to purchase temporary storage in the summer months. Therefore, in order to prevent this issue, it was imperative that Noreaster installed an air conditioning unit in order to cool down the prep area and get the freezer running to temperature.
Solution
Noreaster ordered a 10kw Fujitsu air conditioning unit evaporator and condenser. Noreaster used two days to install and commission the whole unit. The first day Noreaster mounted the units on the outside wall and inside wall, ran the pipe from the unit to the condenser and installed the drain line. The unit was also strength and leaked tested, vacuumed, and he valves open ready for commissioning. The second day was used to run the power from the units to the isolator and wired the isolator into the fuse board. Once all the power was on the machine was put on test.
Conclusion
The customer was extremely happy with the job undertaken, aesthetically and performance wise. Furthermore, the freezer issue instantly became redundant as the ambient temperature in the shop had significantly reduced allowing the freezer to run at the appropriate temperature increasing efficiency and leaving, he customer extremely happy.
